MERT, DIDEM
PENNSYLVANIA
In my work I am attempting to make connections between the object and its counterpart. Using pinch marks juxtaposed between smooth and defined lines creates different textural surfaces that relate to the food/drink to be used in the utilitarian object. I use color and geometry to heighten the formal design elements of the pots that can also be related to food presentation. My work strives to bring forth a sense of tranquility that can be seen as timeless.
