Sami Ruotsalainen designed this teapot as part of the Oiva dinnerware collection. The clean lines and serene character are inspired by Japanese design. He handpicked Maija Isola's beloved Unikko pattern to complement its simplicity and tranquility. Made with white stoneware, this three-piece teapot has a natural wood handle for pouring. Take off the lid to remove the stoneware tea strainer. All these details work together to brew the perfect cup of tea.

Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.

When Marimekko was founded in 1951, its unparalleled printed fabrics gave it a strong and unique identity. Marimekko products are sold in about 40 countries. Roughly 150 Marimekko stores serve customers around the globe.
